ABOUT PDF MARKDOWN KIT
Less time retyping.
More time using your notes.
PDF Markdown Kit is an independent document conversion tool, built and maintained under the PDF Markdown Kit name.
What we make
We help students, researchers and people working with knowledge turn PDFs, scanned pages and images into editable Markdown. The result can be copied into notes or an AI workspace, or downloaded as a .md file.
The converter works in your browser. Your document is not uploaded to a conversion server, and you do not need an account.
What this version supports
Choose one PDF, PNG, JPG or WebP file, up to 25 MB. Text PDFs use layout clues to infer headings, paragraphs, basic lists and regular tables. Scans and images use English OCR.
This version handles up to 100 PDF pages, including up to 20 pages requiring OCR in a single conversion. It does not support office documents, batches, saved conversion history or image attachment packages.
Clear about the result
PDF layout is not the same as document structure. Heading levels, tables and reading order are inferred; they are not guaranteed to match every source. Complex columns, formulas, handwriting and poor scans require review. OCR returns text without reconstructing the original formatting.
Review the editable result against your source before reusing it. The tool reports when OCR was used and when a page yielded no readable text.
Documents stay with you
Conversion happens on your device. Refreshing the page clears the current document and result from the application. Copies and files you choose to download remain under your control.
